Under these circumstances I do not think it wise to be "celebrating" a false "victory". We are going down, and the Shadow Government which brought us the events of 911, the Patriot Act,
and the Military Commissions Act has undoubtedly staged these elections and this "Democratic Victory" as a "happy" distraction designed to take advantage of the confusing and illusory
thought (Mercury Retrograde in Secretive Scorpio) currently saturated with Neptune in Aquarius glamor which pervades the collective human psyche, the global atmosphere.
Things are seldom what they seem, skim milk masquerades as cream -those are the immortal limericks of Gilbert & Sullivan but if there was ever an astrological indicator of "conspiracy"
it is certainly a Retrograde Mercury in Scorpio Squaring Neptune in Aquarius!

shakes hands with the Criminal Bush. This, is the "dwarfing" of Pluto?

Vigilance. Don't drop your guard. Really, Pelosi cum Bush all smiley-smiley and handshaking! The enemy is WITHIN ....

In an recent interview with CBS's 60 Minutes, democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi made a disheartening statement to the effect that the impeachment
of George W. Bush is 'a waste of time' and is 'off the table'. She then said of the Republican party that "Making them lame ducks is good enough for me."

Considering Bush and Co.'s lengthy laundry list of crimes, ranging from lying to congress in order to get the U.S. involved in the Iraq war, illegal wiretapping, the
breaking of Geneva conventions via the torture of prisoners and the illegal release of classified information, Pelosi's statement reveals what amounts to downright
indifference towards these appalling transgressions. Considering the current death toll in Iraq of American soldiers (over 2800 now) and the profound damage that
has been done in regards to U.S. foreign policy, the environment and the economy amongst other things, it is utterly imperative that Bush is ousted from office as
quickly as possible.

While some would say that we should be focusing on things such as minimum wage increases, rescinding tax cuts for big oil and the rich, addressing Medicare
prescription drug issues for seniors instead of impeachment proceedings, the issue remains that if crimes such as Bush has committed go unpunished, only criminals
will prevail. While it looks like the majority of Democrats will not take the necessary actions in the 'business as usual' environment in Washington D.C., there is a rarely
heard of protocol which an organization called Impeach For Peace is now making people aware of, found within what is called Jefferson's Manual.

The following is from the Impeach For Peace website:

"Impeach for Peace, a Minnesota-based impeachment group, has researched a method for impeaching the president using a little known and rarely used part of the
Rules of the House of Representatives ("Jefferson’s Manual"). This document actually empowers individual citizens to initiate the impeachment process themselves.

Jefferson's Manual" is an interpretive guide to parliamentary procedure, and is included (along with the Constitution) in the bound volumes of the Rules of the House
of Representatives. It is ratified by each congress (including the current one), and has been updated continuously through the history of our democracy. The section
covering impeachment lists the acceptable vehicles for bringing impeachment motions to the floor of the House."

Impeach for Peace has made it quite easy for citizens to initiate impeachment proceedings themselves. By simply downloading one of the PDF files from their website
and following the instructions, we can send a clear message to Nancy Pelosi and others that Bush must be removed from office prior to taking any other action to
restore democracy in the U.S . If enough of us take action and pressure our elected representatives to proceed with impeachment, the permanent removal of Bush may
very well become a reality.

If Bush is impeached through such a means as found in Jefferson's Manual , U.S. citizens may very well then be emboldened enough to address such things as the
hydra of Homeland Security, the restoration of the Constitution (which was basically abolished by the president's signing of the Military Commissions Act in October)
and many other forms of criminal misconduct that have threatened our imperiled democracy in recent years. Bush's impeachment may even prevent the rise of a
fascist dictatorship, primarily by sending a message to those who think that lying, cheating and stealing are the sole means to gain absolute power.

The latest Democrat "saviour" to flip flop 180 degrees in light of their victory is Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich. Presumed to become chairman
of the House Judiciary Committee in January, Conyers today said that impeachment of President Bush "is off the table."

"In this campaign, there was an orchestrated right-wing effort to distort my position on impeachment," Conyers said in a statement released by his
Judiciary Committee spokesman. "The incoming speaker (Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.) has said that impeachment is off the table.
I am in total agreement with her on this issue: Impeachment is off the table."

Conyers seems to have forgotten that last December he laid out the grounds for impeachment in a 350 page long report called -
"The Constitution in Crisis: The Downing Street Minutes and Deception, Manipulation, Torture, Retribution and Cover-ups in the Iraq War" and later
updated to add "illegal domestic surveillance."

For a while Conyers was the darling of left leaning bloggers and readers everywhere:

Conyers is so admirable. One of the very few in Congress who still has integrity and principles. It is too bad that he does not get more MSM coverage
but why would they do that? He might upset the Republican and Corporate plans for total control and could expose their nefarious doings. He is risking

The Report concludes that a number of these actions amount to prima facie evidence (evidence sufficiently strong to presume the allegations are true)
that federal criminal laws have been violated. Legal violations span from false statements to Congress to whistleblower laws... The Report also concludes
that these charges clearly rise to the level of impeachable conduct... In response to the Report, I have already taken a number of actions. First, I have
introduced a resolution (H. Res. 635) creating a Select Committee with subpoena authority to investigate the misconduct of the Bush Administration with
regard to the Iraq war and report on possible impeachable offenses.

So Conyers was already underway with setting up investigations into impeachable offences, but now he says that impeachment is off the table? Clearly he has
been given orders to toe the party line or face the consequences.

Despite the fact that 86% want to see the President impeached, leading Democrats have already ruled this out. The same leading Democrats that voted for
the war in Afghanistan, for the Patriot Act, for Homeland Security and against a bill that simply condemned torture of prisoners in Iraq.

After Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean, Conyers is the latest Democrat to show us their true colours once in power.

Conyers and the other Democrats highlight precisely why we need to regroup, consolidate and redouble our efforts in light of the theatrical shift of power in
Washington to the left. Because as soon as this happened, overnight, the truth movement lost a great deal of support from those that believe the job is now done.

Taking note of many reader comments over the past few days I have noticed a startling uprise in the amount of negative and dismissive feedback from some readers.
Evidently those who expected us to be out dancing in the streets at the news of a Democrat landslide in Washington have been bitterly disappointed.

We have never once suggested that the solution to a corrupt and fascist Neocon leadership is a passive and capitulating Democrat sideshow leadership, so why is it
any surprise that we are continuing on the same course as before?

"You can only have it one way. What the hell is up with you people. The whole time the Bush regime was in power you begged for change. Now you have it,

that the Neo-Con agenda, which took decades to craft, was simply brushed aside by the victory of a party that has supported Bush every step of the way on major issues."

Seeing Bush on TV admitting he'd took a hell of a beating was great, for about five minutes, then he started laughing and joking about it and talking about pushing forward
to work closely with a new crowd.

Is rolling over and going back to sleep going to get Bush impeached? Should we shut down the websites now and go save the whales or something else we'd all love to be
doing if we didn't have to relentlessly keep fighting to stop our leaders killing our freedoms?

Within hours the Democratic elite have shown us that they don't give a damn about holding the Bush administration up to scrutiny. With no effective opposition in the form
of a political party it is up to the people to continue to demand justice and to continue to attempt to reign in those who have heinously abused their power.

Thomas Jefferson described Congress as "a body to which the people send one hundred and fifty lawyers, whose trade it is to question everything and yield nothing."

In light of this how can any representative say something like impeachment is 'off the table?'

This stuff you sent below just adds to my soul and body sickness - Conyers, too. Now I see why Bush and Rove went to the White House on Election Eve sure that
everything would come out fine. Of course! There is

the lies like we live in a democracy with a constitutional government of checks and balances, a representative form of government where the bill of rights is practiced
and protected. . . all kinds of "should" illusions floating like romantic sugarplums in my head. I'm not in denial but I am choosing not to play anymore. I know I can't
shut out the vibration of toxicity which is everywhere including permeating every pore of my body and spirit - but I am going to try not to lie to myself if where the truth
begins to be told is at home, just like love begins at home. I'm not naive enough to believe I can escape, but I am going to do what I feel is the bravest act one can
perform for oneself and that is to try not to lie to myself and not to pervert my own values or not to fail to examine them and reexamine them and get in sync with them.

But NOW he has removed the entire report .... REMOVED IT .... from his website, his Congressional Website! Having told us all it was to be
published as a BOOK and soliciting $60 DONATIONS he suddenly "DISAPPEARS" the ENTIRE TEXT and claims there was a "conspiracy"
to misrepresent his views! <>Astounding. But so common these days.... people are DISAPPEARED just as his document has been DISAPPEARED!

Instead of noticing or protesting, we are all being "instructed" that we should be happy for the "democratic" sweep and pleased that Pelosi, Conyers
et. al are NOT going to try to impeach a "lame duck" President because there are more important "fish to fry". Cute. However, this was NEVER
about a "fish fry" .... the USA is completely falling apart with all our constitutional rights signed away, <>-even habeas corpus!

Very serious CRIMES have been committed by this administration, but NOT without the bend-over-backwards and complete acquiescence of

Today, I am releasing a staff report entitled, "The Constitution in Crisis: The Downing Street Minutes and Deception, Manipulation, Torture, Retribution and Coverups in the Iraq War."

Before talking about the report, I must express my profound gratitude to the readers of this site, who kept this story alive when no one would cover it, and continued to talk about it after some
in the media moved on. Much of the research in this report is a product of the input and hard work of DailyKos, Huffington Post and Conyersblog readers over the last six months (the help
with my "timeline project" was particularly useful). I also am so grateful to progressive talk radio hosts and listeners, who have refused to allow the American people to forget the nation was
deceived into war.

Now on to the Report and what I plan to do about it. In sum, the report examines the Bush Administration’s actions in taking us to war from A to Z. The report finds there is substantial evidence
the President, the Vice-President and other high ranking members of the Bush Administration misled Congress and the American people regarding the decision to go to war in Iraq; misstated and
manipulated intelligence information regarding the justification for such war; countenanced torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment in Iraq; and permitted inappropriate retaliation against
critics of their Administration.

The Report also concludes that these charges clearly rise to the level of impeachable conduct.
However, because the Administration has failed to respond to requests for information about these charges, it is not yet possible to conclude that an impeachment inquiry or articles of impeachment
are warranted.

In response to the Report, I have already taken a number of actions. First, I have introduced a resolution (H. Res. 635) creating a Select Committee with subpoena authority to investigate the
misconduct of the Bush Administration with regard to the Iraq war and report on possible impeachable offenses. In Watergate, for example, the Congress did not begin matters as an impeachment
inquiry, but investigated matters ? through the Ervin Committee ? and referred impeachable evidence to the Judiciary Committee.

Second, I have introduced Resolutions regarding both President Bush (H. Res. 636) and Vice-President Cheney (H. Res. 637) proposing that they be censured by Congress based on the
uncontroverted evidence already on the record and their failure to respond to Congressional and public inquiries about these matters and have never accounted for their many specific misstatements in
the run up to War.

As you know, taking these steps means that I am likely to be criticized by the political and media establishments in Washington and attacked by the right wing noise machine. There is a school of thought
among Washington political consultants that criticizing the President about Iraq will make Democrats appear to be weak on national security. There is a media establishment that marginalizes politicians for
espousing beliefs held by the majority of Americans. The right wing noise machine in turn retaliates against the President's critics.

Be that as it may, I just could not be silent any longer. The title of the report is exactly right: the Constitution is in Crisis. There are serious and well-substantiated allegations that the Executive Branch has
usurped the sole power of the Congress to declare war by deceiving the Congress about the evidence for war. There are serious and well-substantiated allegations that the Executive Branch has deceived
the American people to manufacture the people's consent for war.

We know that Conyers is self-censoring and even denying that he ever said what he said, wrote what he wrote. This is so disgusting, 
disappointing and ununderstandable to me - I suppose that in America there are NO Thomas Paine's outside of voices like yours but you 
and others like you choose to remain out of any form of active limelight, sending your volleys out from unseen/relatively unheard/uncontacted 
hiding places.  Nonetheless, your energy is "out there" commingling - as is mine.  My approach by becoming "small" (to be more potent and 
powerful) and relating to non-human intelligence in the soil as part of the planetary microbial network is entirely subversive/sub-versive (poesis 
beneath the radar and poesis of the wholly "other"/non-human).  

One learns to navigate devolution, rollingtime backwards (seemingly), to be a master of illusion in order to penetrate delusion -in other words, 
the trickster. I say this because I think of you as being so quick to judge my position as one of "denial" or "attempted escape" when it is exactly 
the opposite. (It is) the "small" work of "attend(ing) the minute particulars" as a Chiron in Virgo in the 4th house of the earth home must do in 
her own planetary healing journey. Well, I am going to leave my thoughts to rest here for now.

Just wanted to say that yes, of course, I hold you terribly responsible for being you! Are you ready for the firing squad?

Do you not realize that I'm every bit as "isolated" or "anti-social" as yourself and certainly as metaphysical a scramble of eggs as you're
likely to find on any given plate! No, I really don't think you're "bad" or "selfish" or "spiritually constipated" or whatever ... except in so
far as I, myself, am these things and see them reflected back at me or project them onto my friends! (Recall, por favor, the Fool to

As a result, we recommend that Congress establish a select committee with subpoena authority to investigate the misconduct of the Bush Administration with regard to the Iraq war detailed in this Report and report to the Committee on the Judiciary on possible impeachable offenses.

In addition, we believe the failure of the President, Vice President and others in the Bush Administration to respond to myriad requests for information concerning these charges, or to otherwise account for explain a number of specific misstatements they have made in the run up to War and other actions warrants, at minimum, the introduction and Congress-approval of Resolutions of Censure against Mr. Bush and Chapter House Democratic Committee Staff Mr. Cheney.

Further, we recommend that Ranking Member Conyers and others consider referring the potential violations of federal criminal law detailed in this Report to the Department of Justice for investigation; Congress should pass legislation to limit government secrecy, enhance oversight of the Executive Branch, request notification and justification of presidential pardons of Administration officials, ban abusive treatment of detainees, ban the use of chemical weapons, and ban the practice of paying foreign media outlets to publish news stories prepared by or for the Pentagon; and the House should amend its Rules to permit Ranking Members of Committees to schedule official Committee hearings and call witnesses to investigate Executive Branch misconduct."

What you vote, what you want, what is best has nothing to do with any of this. The agenda is, keep them working (got to have the latest Ipod…charge it, please)
keep them just happy enough (I’m going to heaven, and/or, faux materialism: I’m getting a new car), let them think they are in charge just enough to keep them from
revolting (voting, yeah, right), just sick enough to fuel the medical/drug industry (or whatever power/money thing they are into at the moment) and do a little population
control by going to a war now and again (for this you have to make up a reason) and the latest and greatest agenda, mass mind control through media (easier than starting
rumors and much more powerful).

The Question has always been: If they don’t like us, why don’t they kill us? Why not build robots or only have a bunch of “Manuel” labor? Oh! They are doing that!!!!
Amnesty for illegals. Open borders, sealed roads to transport, and who knows what else. Have you been to the border lately? You should go. Just sit and watch. Americans

So there is more mayhem afoot than what balloon head sits up there. It will have to crash hard to ever correct it, and then it will only be a matter of time before the power
machine puts itself back on the track and gets going again. All we can ever hope for is a reprieve from them now and again.

Which leads to another Question(s), the one that drives me mad, as they say in The Matrix, should we take the blue pill and be content to be alive in any state of the Union,
or, should we take the red pill and do something else that I won’t even write here? Or, do as Bucky said and make another way of life so appealing that everyone will drop
this one and go over to that side?
